POSITION SUMMARY
Capital Equipment Company is seeking an experienced and motivated Welder and Fabrication Project Manager to oversee welding and fabrication projects from initial planning through final completion. This position is responsible for coordinating field operations, managing project schedules and budgets, communicating with customers and vendors, and ensuring all fabrication work is completed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards. The Project Manager will work closely with shop personnel, field crews, and management to ensure successful project execution. This position will be based out of Jefferson, City, Missouri.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage welding and fabrication projects from estimating and planning through production and completion.
- Develop project schedules and monitor progress to ensure deadlines are met.
- Coordinate workload and resources between fabrication shop personnel and field operations.
- Review blueprints, drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.
- Prepare material takeoffs and coordinate procurement of materials and equipment.
- Monitor project costs and labor hours to maintain budget expectations.
- Communicate project status, timelines, and issues with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and quality standards.
- Conduct regular project meetings with shop and field personnel.
- Identify and resolve production, scheduling, and quality concerns.
- Assist with estimating, bidding, and planning future projects as needed.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, reports, and records.
- Support training and development of fabrication personnel.
- Perform quality inspections to ensure completed work meets specifications.
- Other duties as assigned.
