ABOUT THE ROLE
Join an early-stage healthtech team building a clinical AI platform for healthcare payments. You will own core backend infrastructure and distributed systems that process complex clinical and financial workflows, helping bring new clinical intelligence capabilities into production.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Build and scale distributed systems for chart processing, claims, authorizations, denials, and payer and provider integrations.
- Develop browser and computer-use automation for interacting with medical record software and payer portals.
- Design reliable infrastructure for scanned charts, PDFs, structured claims, unstructured notes, and operational data.
- Build orchestration, queuing, retry, and observability systems for long-running workflows across healthcare platforms.
- Partner with research and product engineers to bring new capabilities into production and establish sound engineering patterns.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- At least 3 years of backend engineering experience, with a track record of owning and scaling technically complex systems.
- Strong Python, microservices, and distributed systems experience, along with hands-on backend architecture and implementation skills.
- Experience with data pipelines, workflow orchestration, large or messy datasets, and production LLM or machine learning systems.
- Background in healthtech, fintech, data infrastructure, or another engineering-intensive environment.
- A degree in computer science, mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent strong technical foundations.
- Interest in early-stage startup work and a role involving daily hands-on coding.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Base salary: $160,000 to $200,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is not available.
