Robotic Hardware Engineer - Defense

You will lead hardware and software integration for unmanned aerial systems, taking platforms from benchtop prototypes to flight testing. You will configure embedded Linux and containerized software, build communications networks, develop validation tooling, troubleshoot systems in the lab and field, and fabricate wiring and electronics.
Responsibilities- Lead end-to-end hardware and software integration for unmanned aerial systems
- Deploy and configure Docker-based software stacks on onboard computers and peripheral hardware
- Troubleshoot vehicle networks, payload interfaces, and sensor links
- Develop Python and C++ tooling for data reduction, log analysis, and system validation
- Fabricate wiring harnesses and perform precision soldering
- Configure IP routing, subnets, and network interfaces for vehicle systems
Requirements- 5+ years of experience in robotics integration, flight-test engineering, embedded systems, or autonomous vehicles
- Practical Linux CLI, system logging, IP routing, subnetting, and Docker experience
- Hands-on wiring, cable assembly, soldering, oscilloscope, and multimeter skills
- Proficiency in Python, C++, or Shell scripting
- Experience with UART, CAN, Ethernet, SPI, and I2C
- Ability to lead integration efforts independently
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and work experience
- U.S. citizenship
- Ability to hold or eligibility for a U.S. Secret security clearance
