ABOUT THE ROLE
Join a collaborative legal team handling civil litigation matters from case initiation through settlement or trial. You will independently manage a caseload and work closely with colleagues and paralegal support in an in-person practice.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Manage civil litigation cases from intake through resolution, including employment law, school law, and general civil matters.
- Draft and argue motions, conduct discovery, and take and defend depositions of parties, experts, and other witnesses.
- Attend hearings and handle bench and jury trials.
- Meet with clients to develop litigation strategy and negotiate and finalize settlements.
- Collaborate with colleagues on case strategy while maintaining ownership of your cases.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- At least 6 years of civil litigation experience, including motion practice, discovery, and independent caseload management.
- Strong legal writing and experience drafting and arguing motions through summary judgment.
- Deposition experience, including taking and defending depositions.
- Trial experience as first or second chair, or demonstrated readiness to take cases to trial.
- Experience in employment law, school law, insurance defense, or general civil litigation.
- J.D. from an accredited law school and active Washington State Bar membership in good standing, or ability to obtain membership.
- Self-directed approach, sound professional judgment, and a stable employment history or clear explanations for shorter tenures.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Base salary: $150,000 to $200,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is available.

On-site in Seattle, Washington.
