Engineer secure, resilient cloud and infrastructure platforms while driving automation, reliability and continuous improvement across TMBL.

Join our Cloud and Infrastructure team in a senior, hands-on engineering role supporting a broad technology environment spanning Microsoft Azure, hybrid and private cloud, VMware, UNIX, network services and Cloudflare.

You’ll combine traditional infrastructure expertise with modern cloud engineering, automation and Infrastructure as Code practices to create secure, scalable and operationally sustainable platforms.

You’ll work closely with Principal Engineers, Architecture, Cyber Security, Technology Operations and delivery teams to strengthen platform security, resilience and performance. You’ll also help reduce manual effort, improve automation and establish consistent engineering practices across the environment.

What you’ll do - Engineer, support and maintain Azure, hybrid cloud and infrastructure platforms

- Support VMware, network services, Cloudflare and associated technologies

- Provide senior technical support for complex incidents and service degradation

- Lead or contribute to root-cause analysis and problem management

- Build reusable Infrastructure as Code modules and deployment patterns

- Develop automation using Terraform, PowerShell, Python, Git and CI/CD pipelines

- Manage platform lifecycle activities, including upgrades, patching and technology refreshes

- Support vulnerability remediation and infrastructure security controls

- Improve monitoring, alerting, logging and platform observability

- Identify opportunities to reduce technical debt and unnecessary complexity

- Support disaster recovery, resilience testing and recovery activities

- Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures and engineering standards

- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to other engineers

What you’ll bring Essential - Significant hands-on experience in a senior cloud, infrastructure or platform engineering role

- Strong experience supporting Microsoft Azure and hybrid cloud environments

- Experience across virtualisation, compute, networking, DNS, load balancing and connectivity

- Practical experience with Infrastructure as Code

- Automation experience using PowerShell, Python or similar scripting languages

- Experience using Git and CI/CD pipelines to manage infrastructure changes

- Experience supporting VMware or an equivalent enterprise virtualisation platform

- A strong background supporting secure, resilient and highly available production environments

- Experience troubleshooting complex issues across cloud, network and infrastructure domains

- Knowledge of incident, problem, change and service-management processes

- Experience supporting vulnerability remediation, privileged access and infrastructure security

- A relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent demonstrated industry experience

Nice to have - Microsoft Azure, Terraform, VMware, networking, ITIL or security certifications

- Experience with Cloudflare DNS, WAF, CDN or Zero Trust capabilities

- Experience with Azure networking, ExpressRoute and private endpoints

- Knowledge of enterprise monitoring, logging and observability platforms

- Experience implementing automated configuration, policy or compliance controls

- Experience supporting disaster recovery and resilience testing

- Experience within banking, financial services or another regulated industry

- Exposure to APRA CPS 230, CPS 234 or similar technology-risk requirements
