Functional Test Engineer — HIL

About the role

You will design and execute the hardware and software test methodology for the HIL bench: test plans, test cases, coverage, and results reporting that feed the "fully integrated bench" acceptance.

What you'll do

- Translate client requirements into HIL test plans, test cases and traceability matrices

- Execute functional, regression and fault-injection tests on the bench; log, triage and track defects

- Define pass/fail criteria, coverage metrics and KPIs for bench acceptance

- Build test evidence packs and contribute to weekly progress reporting

- Collaborate with software engineers to automate repeatable test suites

What you bring

- 4–6 years in functional / system / HIL testing of embedded or control systems

- Experience with requirements-based testing, traceability tools (DOORS, Jira/Xray, Polarion) and defect lifecycle

- Working knowledge of HIL environments (OPAL-RT, dSPACE, NI) and test automation frameworks

- Ability to read control-system designs, electrical schematics and interface specs

- BE in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation or Mechatronics

Nice to have: ISTQB; Python/Robot Framework; semiconductor equipment or industrial automation background
