About Flai

AI has transformed B2B SaaS, but has struggled to penetrate the real-world industries that shape our lives. Flai is building the leading AI-native communications platform for car dealerships.

A $1.3 trillion industry, auto dealerships sell 96% of the 16 million new cars sold each year. Yet they universally run on outdated systems and manual processes, which is why dealerships spend $36B each year on operations. That's our opportunity.

We launched our first voice AI product a year ago. Since then, we have deployed multiple products across hundreds of dealerships across the U.S. We've partnered with the 2nd largest automaker in the country and many of the leading dealership groups. We've raised funding from leading VCs including First Round Capital, Toyota Ventures, Y Combinator, Innovation Endeavors, SV Angel, and Liquid 2.

We've grown insanely quickly with a small, scrappy team and continue to move at that pace.

The Opportunity

Flai is growing quickly, and we're hiring a senior full-stack engineer to own major parts of our product. You'll work directly with the founders, ship to production every week, and build features that dealerships across the country use every day. As you learn our customers and the business, you'll help set the roadmap for your area.

Who You Are

- Strong Generalist: You're excellent on the front end or the back end, and happy to work anywhere in the stack.

- Product-Minded: You know when to move fast and when to slow down, and you don't need a detailed spec to get started.

- Comfortable With Customers: You'd rather hear about a problem from the person who has it than read about it in a ticket.

- An Owner: You take responsibility for what you ship. You watch how it performs in production, jump in when something breaks, and keep improving it long after launch.

- A Shipper: Startup or big tech, you've built something yourself and gotten it out the door.

What You'll Do

- Own major parts of the product: Take core features from design through launch, then keep them running well.

- Build the integrations everything runs on: Connect to the systems dealers already use and make that data reliable.

- Get out of the office: Join dealer calls and visit stores so you're building for how they actually work.

- Ship every week: Work across the UI, APIs, and infrastructure to get changes in front of customers fast.

- Help set direction: Shape the roadmap for your area as you learn the business.
