We are seeking an experienced, dynamic, and results-driven General Manager to lead our team and oversee all aspects of restaurant operations.
Position Overview
The General Manager is responsible for the overall success of KAI Legacy West, including daily operations, financial performance, guest satisfaction, employee development, and maintaining the highest standards of hospitality.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with extensive experience in upscale or fine dining, a strong understanding of high-volume restaurant operations, and the ability to create a culture of accountability, professionalism, and exceptional guest service.
This individual must possess a strong business mindset while maintaining a visible presence on the restaurant floor and leading by example.
Key Responsibilities
Restaurant Operations & Guest Experience

Oversee all daily restaurant operations, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and exceptional execution.

Maintain the highest standards of hospitality, food quality, presentation, cleanliness, and ambiance.

Lead from the floor, actively engaging with guests and supporting the team during peak service periods.

Proactively address guest concerns and ensure prompt, professional resolutions.

Maintain an elevated guest experience consistent with the KAI brand.

Oversee dining room, bar, lounge, and private event operations.
Leadership & Team Development

Recruit, train, mentor, and develop a high-performing management and service team.

Establish clear performance expectations and hold team members accountable.

Foster a positive, professional, and results-oriented workplace culture.

Conduct regular management meetings, performance evaluations, and coaching sessions.

Ensure proper staffing levels and scheduling to support operational demands.

Promote teamwork and effective communication between front-of-house and culinary leadership.
Financial Management & Business Performance

Take ownership of restaurant profitability, financial performance, and operational efficiency.

Monitor and manage labor costs, food and beverage costs, controllable expenses, and operating budgets.

Analyze profit and loss statements and implement strategies to improve financial results.

Drive revenue growth through effective sales strategies, guest retention, and operational excellence.

Maintain inventory controls, purchasing standards, and loss prevention procedures.

Establish and monitor key performance indicators, including sales, labor percentages, guest satisfaction, and profitability.
Standards, Compliance & Accountability

Ensure compliance with all company policies, food safety regulations, liquor laws, and employment requirements.

Maintain strict standards for employee appearance, professionalism, attendance, and conduct.

Ensure accurate payroll reporting, scheduling, cash handling, and administrative processes.

Conduct regular inspections to maintain restaurant cleanliness, safety, and operational readiness.

Partner with corporate leadership and Human Resources to address employee relations and operational concerns.
Sales, Marketing & Community Engagement

Develop relationships with regular guests, VIP clientele, local businesses, and community partners.

Collaborate with the corporate marketing team to support restaurant promotions, special events, and brand initiatives.

Identify opportunities to increase reservations, private dining, and overall restaurant revenue.

Maintain a strong understanding of the competitive upscale dining market in Plano and the surrounding Dallas area.
Qualifications & Experience

Minimum 5 years of restaurant management experience, with at least 3 years in a General Manager or senior leadership role preferred.

Proven experience in upscale, fine dining, or high-volume hospitality environments.

Strong knowledge of restaurant financial management, budgeting, P&L analysis, and cost controls.

Demonstrated success in building, leading, and retaining high-performing teams.

Exceptional guest relations, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Experience overseeing premium beverage programs, bar operations, and elevated service standards.

Ability to manage a fast-paced, high-energy environment while maintaining composure and professionalism.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Proficiency with restaurant POS systems, scheduling platforms, and standard operational reporting.

Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and peak business periods.
