AA Signs Regional Co-ordinator

Location: Basingstoke

Salary: £25,492

Contract: Fixed Term Contract – up to 12 months

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm

Dynamic Working: 3 days in the office, 2 days from home

At the AA, we’ve been keeping Britain moving for generations – but there’s much more to us than roadside assistance.

Within AA Signs, we work with businesses, housing developers and event organisers to coordinate temporary directional signage across the UK. Behind every enquiry is a customer relying on us to get the details right, keep things moving and deliver a great service.

That’s where you come in.

As a Regional Coordinator, you’ll be at the heart of the customer journey, managing enquiries from start to finish and making sure every detail is handled accurately and professionally.

A large part of the role involves managing customer enquiries via email, so you’ll need to be confident in your written communication, highly accurate and someone who naturally pays attention to the finer details.

You’ll also speak with customers by telephone, working closely with colleagues and external stakeholders to coordinate signage requirements, prepare quotations and ensure everything is in place for successful delivery.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

- Managing customer enquiries from initial contact through to completion

- Responding to a high volume of email and telephone enquiries accurately and efficiently

- Creating, costing and preparing quotations for signage requests

- Liaising with customers, Signs Officers, local authorities and other stakeholders

- Ensuring customer and enquiry information is accurately recorded and kept up to date

- Following relevant local authority processes and completing signage applications

- Supporting invoicing, reconciliation, credit checks and other financial administration

- Proactively following up enquiries and identifying opportunities to retain or generate business

- Handling challenging customer situations professionally and working towards positive outcomes

- Working collaboratively with the wider team to deliver an excellent customer experience

This is a role where organisation, accuracy and customer service really matter. You’ll often be managing several enquiries at once, so being able to prioritise your workload without losing sight of the detail will be key.

We’re looking for someone who enjoys helping customers, takes pride in getting things right and is comfortable working in a busy environment.

Ideally, you’ll bring:

- At least 12 months’ experience within a customer service and/or administrative role

- Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to produce clear and accurate emails

- A strong eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy and quality

- A professional, friendly and confident telephone manner

- Great organisation and time-management skills

- The ability to prioritise when managing multiple or conflicting demands

- Confidence building relationships with customers, colleagues and external stakeholders

- A proactive approach to problem solving

- The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

- Confidence using Microsoft Office and database systems

- GCSEs or equivalent qualifications

Most importantly, you’ll be customer focused, dependable and detail orientated. You’ll understand that getting the small things right can make a big difference to the customer experience.

This is a Fixed Term Contract for up to 12 months, based from our Basingstoke office, offering a salary of £25,492.

You’ll work Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm, with no weekend working.

We also offer dynamic working, giving you the flexibility to work three days a week from the office and two days from home.

At the AA, how we work is just as important as what we deliver. We encourage our people to Think Impact, Own It, Back Each Other and Push for Better – taking responsibility, supporting one another and always looking for ways to improve.

If you’re someone who loves delivering great customer service, has an eye for detail and enjoys taking ownership of a customer journey from beginning to end, we’d love to hear from you.
