Barebells in CanadaBarebells is a fast-growing protein snack brand from Vitamin Well Group, the international food and beverage group behind Barebells, NOCCO and Vitamin Well. Building on strong growth in the US, Barebells launched in Canada in 2024 and has grown rapidly, with expanding distribution and a growing presence across key retail channels.

About the RoleAs our Social Media & Community Specialist, you will join the growing local Barebells Functional Foods Canada Ltd marketing team and shape how Barebells shows up culturally and creatively across social platforms, with a focus on Instagram and TikTok.

Reporting to the Canada Marketing Coordinator, you will own day-to-day social execution and community management, working closely with our global creative team to ensure our channels are dynamic, relevant and aligned with the wider Barebells brand strategy.

We ideally see this position based in the Greater Toronto or Vancouver areas, but are open to discussing a remote setup from elsewhere in Canada.

What you will do

Own Social & Community- Lead Barebells Canada's social-first strategy, shaping how the brand shows up across social platforms and treating community as a key brand channel, not just a response function.

- Own content creation and day-to-day social execution, particularly across Instagram and TikTok, from developing ideas to producing content, including stepping in front of the camera when needed.

- Act as the internal voice of our community, bringing consumer perspectives and insights into the marketing team.

Drive Cultural Relevance & Real-Time Engagement- Stay deeply connected to platform behaviour, emerging trends and cultural moments, identifying when and how Barebells should join the conversation.

- Drive timely, reactive content that feels authentic, community-driven and native to each platform rather than overly branded.

Lead Community Management & Conversation- Own community engagement across our social channels, responding to comments, DMs, mentions, tags and user-generated content.

- Turn standout comments, fans and community moments into creative conversations and storytelling opportunities.

- Monitor sentiment and feedback, identifying opportunities, potential risks and emerging trends while keeping our tone of voice true to Barebells.

- Identify potential ambassadors, creators and brand advocates within our community.

Support Campaigns, Launches & Activations- Activate our community around product launches, events and partnerships, building engagement before, during and after.

- Support creator collaborations and product seeding, helping generate excitement around new launches.

What you can expect- Your social instincts matter. Turn your knowledge of trends, platforms and online culture into ideas that connect Barebells with our growing community in Canada.

- Real ownership. Shape our social presence, create content and drive engagement, from idea to execution.

- A growing market, a hands-on team. Work closely with local and global colleagues, move quickly and see the impact of your work as Barebells expands in Canada.

Who you areYou are chronically online (in the best way), visually sharp and deeply tuned into how brands show up in culture. You understand what makes people stop scrolling, join a conversation or share something with their friends. You have a natural feel for storytelling, humour and timing, and know how to turn what is happening online into content that connects.

You are creative, organised and comfortable taking the lead, with the confidence to try new ideas and the judgement to know what works for the brand. You enjoy the creative process as much as the finished content, from the first idea to the final post.

What you will need to succeed- 1–2+ years of hands-on experience in social media, content creation, community management or a similar marketing role.

- Strong knowledge of Instagram, TikTok and Facebook, including platform trends, formats and best practices.

- Experience creating and producing social content, with a strong visual eye and confidence appearing on camera when needed.

- Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate across teams.

- Experience in CPG, food and beverage, lifestyle or wellness brands is an advantage, as is working with influencers or content creators.

- English–French bilingual skills are preferred but not required.
