We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Resident Engineer to join our dynamic team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. In this pivotal role, you will lead site supervision activities and oversee construction operations for major infrastructure projects. As a Senior Resident Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring that all construction works meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance while fostering collaborative relationships with contractors, clients, and project stakeholders.
- Lead and manage the site supervision team, providing technical guidance and mentorship to ensure effective day-to-day construction operations
- Supervise and monitor construction activities across all project disciplines, including civil works, structural elements, utilities, and associated infrastructure
- Ensure construction works are executed in strict accordance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and contractual requirements
- Coordinate seamlessly with contractors, clients, authorities, and multidisciplinary teams to facilitate smooth project execution and resolve interface issues
- Monitor contractor performance, including progress tracking, resource allocation, program adherence, and construction quality metrics
- Review and coordinate technical submittals, shop drawings, method statements, RFIs, and other project documentation in a timely manner
- Implement and oversee comprehensive QA/QC procedures and inspection protocols to maintain project quality standards
- Identify, analyze, and resolve technical, construction, and coordination challenges efficiently and decisively
- Lead and facilitate site meetings, progress meetings, and technical coordination sessions with all stakeholders
- Monitor and ensure compliance with project quality requirements, HSE standards, contractual obligations, and regulatory guidelines
- Review completed works and verify that all testing, inspection, documentation, and handover requirements are fulfilled
- Provide strategic technical and managerial support to the Project Manager, contributing to successful project delivery
- Prepare comprehensive progress reports, technical documentation, and site records for project accountability and transparency
**Required Qualifications:**
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline
- Minimum 20 years of progressive experience in infrastructure, construction, and site supervision roles
- Proven expertise in construction management and site supervision on large-scale projects
- Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, technical specifications, and industry best practices
- Comprehensive understanding of QA/QC procedures, inspection protocols, and quality assurance standards
- Solid grasp of project planning, progress monitoring, and construction coordination principles
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams
