Who you are:
- One year of experience in institutional cleaning environment or related work experience
- Experience in all phases of operating floor buffers, waxes, floor strippers, and carpet care
- Knowledge of cleaning agents, equipment, and metods of soil removal
- Basic math, reading, writing skills to handle inventory and equipment logs
- Ability to speak and understand English
- Must be able to work independently and without direct supervision
Job Summary:
The Floor Technician is responsible for cleaning and maintaining assigned area of the facility,
Essential Job Duties:
- Performs any combination of the following tasks to maintain guestrooms, working areas, and the facility premises ina clean and orderly manner.
- Cleans rugs, carpet, and upholstered furniture using a vacuum cleaner, broom, carpet shampoo machine
- Sweeps, mops, scrubs, waxes and polishes floors
- Collects soiled linen for laundering
- Maintains housekeeping carts, and removes trash collected by housekeeping teams
- Walk all assigned floors at beginning and end of shift to collect newspaper bags, newspapers, trash and soiled linens.
All Employees must be able to pass background checks (fitness for duty physical, fingerprinting, employment references) as required by a licensed residential care facility.
Rate of Pay: $18.00 - $20.00
