Brisbane CBD | Full time Office-based role
Up to $900 per day + Superannuation
We're partnering with a global mining technology organisation to recruit two experienced Business Analysts to join a high-performing product development team in Brisbane.
These roles sit within a market-leading software platform used by mining operations worldwide to improve safety, operational visibility, productivity and decision-making. Working alongside Product Owners, engineers and UX specialists, you'll play a critical role in transforming complex business challenges into well-defined product outcomes that deliver measurable customer value.
This is more than a traditional BA role. The team is looking for professionals who take ownership, proactively engage stakeholders, leverage AI-enabled ways of working, and genuinely care about product success. Strong performers will have the opportunity to influence product direction and progress towards future Product Owner responsibilities.
What you'll be doing- Gather and analyse business requirements
- Write user stories and acceptance criteria
- Prepare backlog items for delivery
- Facilitate workshops and discovery sessions
- Collaborate with Product Owners, UX and engineers
- Map business processes and workflows
- Create solution diagrams and models
- Support prioritisation and backlog refinement
- Validate solutions through UAT activities
- Identify risks, dependencies and gaps
- Analyse operational and product data
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives
What you need to bring- Experience as a Business Analyst in software delivery
- Strong requirements elicitation and documentation skills
- Agile product team experience
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
- Experience with complex software platforms
- Visio, Draw.io or similar modelling tools
- UML and process modelling experience
- Ability to learn complex domains quickly
- Experience using AI tools to enhance delivery
- Strong communication and facilitation skills
- Ability to work onsite in Brisbane
Bonus points for- Mining industry experience
- Geospatial systems experience
- Optimisation, planning or forecasting expertise
- Exposure to global product environments
- UX-led product development experience
- Diagram-as-code knowledge
Important to know- Full working rights required
- This role will require the successful candidate to work on site in Brisbane 5 days per week.
