Essential Job Functions:
· Operate club-owned and/or leased vehicles, providing transportation to JIC employees, commuting to and from work and other authorized work-related activities (ie: drug testing, social security administration); and supporting Purchasing and other departments with deliveries, pickups, and other errands and transportation needs.
· Maintain log book of all trips and vehicle usage, including date, mileage, and trip purpose
· Perform visual and other safety inspections of vehicle on daily basis and prior to use, to ensure that vehicle is safe to operate. Document any mechanical problems or other concerns, and notify supervisor immediately.
· Maintain safe driving record and driving proficiency. Understand and adhere to all laws and regulations pertaining to safe operation of a motor vehicle.
· Assist and train employees and other co-workers served, to understand function of company vehicle and transportation service, hours of operation, pickup and dropoff locations, and safe passenger procedures.
· Assist Purchasing department by performing a variety of light manual tasks and projects, such as assisting with inventory; keeping purchasing and storage area clean and orderly; delivering supplies and orders to internal departments and other on-site locations; performing product counts and inspections.
Other Duties & Responsibilities:
· May provide driving/transportation support to other departments as needed.
· May perform variety of support functions for Purchasing, Valet or other departments.
· May perform other assignments and duties, as area needs require.
Skills & Knowledge:
- Safe operation of a multi-passenger motor vehicle; basic motor vehicle maintenance.
- Knowledge & understanding of all applicable laws & regulations pertaining to operation of a motor vehicle.
- Clean driving record, with no moving or other violations in past 3 years.
- Strong organizational and time management skills; dependable; able to adhere to a defined schedule of operation. Able to accurately record trip information and maintain required logs.
- Ability to count, maintain order, and inspect incoming products.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
