ABOUT THE ROLE
Join an applied AI research and training data team to lead legal-focused projects that help develop advanced datasets for AI systems. You will own client relationships and project delivery while collaborating with internal teams on research and operational initiatives.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Work with leading AI research organizations to create high-quality datasets grounded in expert legal reasoning.
- Manage teams of subject-matter experts and oversee project execution from start to finish.
- Partner with internal teams on AI research initiatives and operational projects.
- Build and manage client relationships, ensuring high-quality delivery under tight deadlines.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- At least 3 years of substantive legal experience in law practice, in-house counsel, government or regulatory work, legal consulting, or a legal technology startup.
- A JD or equivalent qualification, with experience drafting, negotiating, litigating, or providing legal advice.
- Strong legal reasoning and research skills, with the ability to distinguish rigorous analysis from superficial answers.
- Excellent communication and client management skills, plus the ability to take ownership of projects end to end.
- Experience in a demanding environment such as consulting, investment banking, or a fast-paced startup is valuable.
- Willingness to work on-site five days a week, with some Sunday availability, and to work extended hours when needed.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Base salary: $150,000 to $200,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is available.
