Warehouse Operative

We are looking for a reliable and motivated Warehouse Operator to join our Operations team in Newtownards.
This hands-on role plays a vital part in ensuring materials are received, stored, processed and dispatched safely and efficiently. Working across both warehouse and processing activities, you will help maintain accurate stock records, prepare customer orders, operate processing equipment, and contribute to the smooth running of our operation.

Shift PatternMonday to Thursday: 7:30am to 4:00pm
Friday: 7:00am to 1:00pm

Health, Safety & Compliance- Follow all Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
- Report hazards, incidents and near misses promptly.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to safe working practices at all times.
Goods Inward- Receive, unload and inspect incoming deliveries.
- Verify deliveries against documentation.
- Identify and report damaged or incorrect goods.
- Ensure materials are accurately booked into stock.
Stockholding & Inventory Control- Store materials safely within designated locations.
- Maintain accurate stock records and inventory accuracy.
- Participate in stock counts and inventory audits.
- Ensure full traceability of materials and products.
Order Fulfilment & Dispatch- Accurately pick customer orders.
- Pack materials securely for dispatch.
- Load vehicles in line with safe loading procedures.
- Support on-time delivery and excellent customer service.
Processing Operations- Operate processing and warehouse equipment following training and authorisation.
- Complete production and operational documentation accurately.
- Conduct quality checks to ensure products meet required standards.
- Carry out basic computer-based tasks following training.
Continuous Improvement- Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve operational targets.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, productivity and quality.
- Support additional operational activities as required by the business.
We're looking for someone with a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a willingness to get stuck in. This is a hands-on role within a busy warehouse environment, so flexibility, reliability, and the ability to work as part of a team are essential.
Essential Skills & Experience- Experience working within a warehouse, stockholding, manufacturing or processing environment.
- Good organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work accurately and safely in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Reliable, dependable and self-motivated approach to work.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Desirable Skills & Experience- Forklift Truck (FLT) or Combi-Lift experience.
- Overhead crane experience.
- Experience using warehouse or stock control systems.
- Previous experience within a manufacturing or metals environment.
