Overview: As a Product Manager (level to be determined by experience) for the Addressing Solutions business, you will own specific aspects of the Properties Data portfolio. You will assist in setting the roadmap and drive the engineering understanding of the backlog for Precisely’s Address Fabric™, Buildings, Parcels and Property Graph data products. This is a hands-on, technical role at the intersection of Product Management and Engineering: you will become the subject matter expert on our data and technology, define acceptance criteria, consult on sprint priorities, resolve customer escalations, and make the daily calls that keep multiple engineering teams on track for the product release schedule. You will partner closely with customers, support, QA, and the broader Product team to deliver data products that solve real world problems.
What you will do:
- Be the technically oriented subject matter expert for Precisely’s Property data portfolio consisting of Address Fabric, Buildings, Parcels, Property Graph products and more.
- Serve as a subject matter expert and represent the Properties data portfolio to customers, partners, and internal stakeholders.
- Own and prioritize the backlog across multiple engineering teams, covering new features, enhancements to existing features. You will assist and advise the engineering team on their defects and technical debt considerations, while balancing customer urgency against strategic priorities.
- Provide subject matter expertise to the support team as they handle customer escalations, this could be from initial triage on accounts through to engineering root-cause analysis, fix validation, and customer-facing resolution.
- Translate incoming support requests and customer feedback into well-formed backlog and roadmap tooling, complete with acceptance criteria, sizing context.
- Act as the technical bridge between Product, Engineering, QA, Support, and external customers – running weekly review calls and contributing to solution definition reviews.
- Collaborate with engineering and customers to dive deep into data coverage, data accuracy and country-specific output to drive quality improvements and documentation updates.
- Evaluate new data sources as they become available.
- Perform competitive analysis against other solutions on the market to ensure Precisely’s stance as the leading address and property data source globally
- Advise on communications, release-notes and other documentation.
- Drive internal demos and stakeholder alignment sessions.
What we are looking for:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in GIS, spatial data engineering, or a closely related technical discipline; a prior Product Management title is not required — this role is designed for a technically strong GIS professional or Data Engineer ready to make that career move.
- Proficiency with common COTS GIS and spatial software (e.g., Esri ArcGIS, QGIS, FME, MapInfo) and fluency with core spatial data types, formats, and standards (WKT, GeoJSON, shapefiles, geodatabases, coordinate reference systems, projections).
- Ability to read software architectures, REST APIs, and engineering design documents at a level sufficient to validate product behavior and investigate customer issues.
- Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, QA, and support teams and manage competing priorities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills — comfortable translating technical findings into customer-facing explanations and well-formed backlog items.
- Some international travel maybe required.
AI Skills/Knowledge:
- Proficiency using AI tools (Copilot, Claude, or equivalent) for data QA, analysis, and engineering processes
- Familiarity with prompt engineering sufficient to scope AI-assisted feature work and write evaluation criteria for model-generated outputs.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with address, parcel, or property data workflows, and/or familiarity with postal address standards.
- Direct experience with Precisely products (Geocoding, Spectrum, Trillium, or Data Integrity Suite).
- Exposure to data licensing, vendor evaluation, or competitive analysis.
- Familiarity with agile/scrum methodologies and backlog tools (Jira, Linear, or similar).
- Proficiency using AI tools (GitHub Copilot, Claude, or equivalent) for analysis, documentation, or triage.
- Understanding of hyperscaler integrations or API-first product architectures.
