Patient Account Data Analyst Position Details
As a Patient Account Data Analyst, you’ll play an important role in supporting the day-to-day operations of Patient Financial Services and helping patients navigate their billing and financial responsibilities. This position focuses on accurate payment posting, account maintenance, patient communication, and timely resolution of billing questions.
In this role, you will:
- Post patient and insurance payments, adjustments, and discounts accurately and timely.
- Monitor and work assigned accounts receivable work queues.
- Respond to patient billing questions by phone, in person, and through other department communication channels.
- Assist patients and help them understand their financial responsibility.
- Provide patients with appropriate resources and payment options when needed.
- Verify insurance benefits as assigned and coordinate authorization needs with appropriate staff and departments.
- Balance and close cash drawers.
- Assist with department mail, postage, and distribution.
- Communicate and collaborate with Patient Financial Services staff and other departments to ensure patient questions and account issues are resolved accurately and timely.
What You Offer
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in healthcare or a business-related field preferred.
- Demonstrate a high degree of commitment to customer service excellence.
- Ability to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing, and act in a positive, professional manner.
Work Schedule
- Full-time, 80 hours per bi-weekly pay period
- Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm
