🏡 Where you'll fit in
We're looking for a subject matter expert in payments to lead payments delivery for our clients in North America. You'll know how money moves in North America, from traditional channels to newer ones, and you'll turn that into tangible outcomes for our clients.
You'll be a hands-on individual contributor in a flat, agile team, working with Kraken's engineers and the client's teams. Our clients are large, established North American utilities with legacy systems and sometimes limited payments expertise. You’ll be looked at by our teams, and the clients, as an expert and a leader.
Payments is only part of the picture. You'll also be in conversations about debt management and the wider process of collecting money from customers, both those in arrears and those who pay on time.
🚀 What you'll own
- Leading payments implementations from discovery to go-live and beyond
- Understanding clients’ legacy systems and desired payments outcomes, and turning them into practical requirements and realistic plans
- Balancing operational, commercial and technical pressures to deliver the right solution for the client and for Kraken
- Recommending the right payment channels, integrations and reconciliation approach
- Advising on collections and debt management alongside payments
- Coaching colleagues on payments
This is a hands-on, individual contributor position. The role is North America based and your projects could be run from any state, travel is expected as part of this role.
We are a flat and agile organisation and plan to remain this way. We are looking for open minded individuals who are comfortable with ambiguity and an ever changing environment. To thrive here you must be a self-starter and willing to roll your sleeves up to solve any problem, constantly flexing outside of your typical job role to drive progress for our clients and organisation.
You must be committed to the Kraken way of delivering tech based on simplicity, client benefit and efficiency while bringing stakeholders through a journey of change.
You must be willing to challenge beliefs, have the ability to see through multiple viewpoints and, if needed, reach beyond your remit to support the client.
- We are building a Kraken for everyone, a universal platform where there is greater benefit in sharing development to enable the green energy transition. Pioneers in this space, we are excited about how Kraken can change the lives of our customers and convinced that Kraken is the best answer, not only for efficiency but as a tool to tackle the climate crisis. If you believe this too then Kraken Tech is the right place for you.
