Note: Candidates must be actively licensed to practice law in Arizona, have 10+ years of attorney experience, and bring at least 3+ years of construction defect litigation experience.

Job Description

- Manage complex construction defect litigation matters from initial evaluation through resolution.

- Develop case strategy, evaluate liability and damages, and provide practical recommendations to clients.

- Draft pleadings, dispositive motions, discovery, briefs, and other litigation documents.

- Conduct and defend depositions involving parties, experts, contractors, subcontractors, and other witnesses.

- Work with construction experts and consultants to evaluate technical issues, damages, and potential exposure.

- Represent clients in hearings, mediations, settlement conferences, and other proceedings.

- Manage discovery, deadlines, experts, and litigation strategy across an active caseload.

- Communicate directly with clients regarding case developments, exposure, strategy, and resolution.

- Prepare matters for trial and take on courtroom responsibilities appropriate to your experience.

Qualifications

- Active Arizona Bar license in good standing.

- 10+ years of attorney experience.

- 3+ years of construction defect litigation experience.

- Strong civil litigation, legal writing, research, and case management skills.

- Experience conducting depositions and handling substantive litigation matters.

- Excellent client communication, judgment, and negotiation skills.

- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid Phoenix environment.

- Defense-side construction, insurance defense, trial, and mediation experience preferred.
