ABOUT THE ROLE
Join an early-stage legal AI team as its first product manager, owning the strategy and roadmap for an AI-powered enterprise contracting platform. You will take the product from zero to one and work closely with engineering and customer-facing legal specialists to shape its direction.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Set product strategy and prioritize the roadmap, balancing what to build now with what can wait.
- Combine customer feedback from legal specialists working directly with customers to guide product decisions.
- Partner with engineering to scope work and plan delivery for AI-assisted development.
- Discuss AI and agent architecture tradeoffs with engineers and rapidly prototype ideas using tools such as Claude Code or Cursor.
- Build core product practices, including prioritization, documentation, launches, and success measurement.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Five to ten years of product management experience on AI-focused engineering teams, including ownership of product roadmaps.
- Experience shipping core AI or LLM products to production and working with agentic systems, including model behavior, evaluations, latency, and context.
- Background in B2B SaaS or AI-native products, with experience at an early-stage startup, as a founder, or as a first product manager.
- Hands-on prototyping experience with AI developer tools such as Claude Code or Cursor.
- Strong collaboration skills with engineers and an understanding of product scoping and delivery.
- Experience analyzing product data with SQL or coding agents is useful.
- Ability to work on-site in New York City without relocation assistance.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Base salary: $180,000 to $250,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is available.
