DigiCert is seeking a Senior Manager, Revenue and Billing Assurance to lead the operational governance, accuracy, and control of our global revenue and billing processes.
Reporting to the Corporate Controller, you will help ensure that customer contracts are translated accurately into billing and financial systems, invoices are complete and timely, revenue-related transactions are properly supported, and potential revenue leakage is identified and resolved. You will work closely with Revenue Accounting, Sales, Deal Desk, Order Management, Accounts Receivable, Customer Success, Legal, Finance Systems, and other cross-functional teams. The successful candidate will combine strong quote-to-cash experience with financial discipline, operational leadership, and a continuous-improvement mindset.
What you will do
- Lead DigiCert's global revenue and billing assurance function, establishing clear ownership, controls, service levels, and performance expectations.
- Develop and maintain an end-to-end assurance framework covering contract setup, order booking, billing, credits, rebates, renewals, amendments, cancellations, and other revenue-impacting transactions.
- Partner with Finance Systems and IT to improve the integration of CRM, CPQ, contract-management, billing, marketplace, and ERP platforms.
- Lead user-acceptance testing and operational-readiness activities for system implementations, product launches, pricing changes, and new commercial models.
- Support acquisitions and business integrations by standardizing revenue and billing processes, controls, data, and reporting.
- Review complex and nonstandard customer arrangements to identify billing, operational, and financial-reporting implications before transactions are booked.
- Ensure invoices are accurate, complete, timely, and consistent with contractual terms and approved commercial arrangements.
- Provide oversight of billing activity conducted through AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, and other cloud marketplaces.
- Partner with Revenue Accounting to ensure billing activity, contract data, and supporting documentation facilitate accurate revenue recognition and financial reporting.
- Support the monthly and quarterly close through reconciliations, variance analysis, exception resolution, and review of billing-related adjustments.
- Identify revenue leakage, billing errors, system gaps, and control weaknesses; lead root-cause analysis and corrective-action plans.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators, including billing accuracy, billing timeliness, unbilled amounts, credit activity, exception volumes, and issue-resolution times.
- Maintain effective internal controls and supporting documentation for billing and revenue-related processes, including controls relevant to audits and SOX readiness.
- Drive accuracy, accountability, customer service, and continuous improvement through collaboration and mentorship, laying the foundation for future team development and leadership.
- Provide clear reporting and insights to the Corporate Controller and other senior leaders regarding risks, trends, and improvement opportunities.
What you will have
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 8 or more years of progressive experience in billing, revenue operations, quote-to-cash, accounts receivable, accounting operations, or a related discipline.
- 3 or more years of people-management experience, preferably leading geographically distributed teams.
- Experience supporting a global technology, SaaS, subscription, or recurring-revenue business.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end quote-to-cash processes and the relationship between customer contracts, order management, billing, collections, and revenue reporting.
- Working knowledge of revenue-recognition principles, including ASC 606, and their application to billing and operational processes.
- Experience reviewing complex commercial arrangements, including subscriptions, multi-year agreements, amendments, rebates, credits, partner transactions, and cloud marketplace offers.
- Demonstrated ability to design and improve scalable processes, controls, reconciliations, and operating procedures.
- Experience supporting month-end and quarter-end close activities and responding to internal and external audit requests.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes and translate findings into sustainable operational improvements.
- Experience working with ERP, CRM, CPQ, billing, and reporting platforms.
- Advanced spreadsheet and data-analysis skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to influence senior stakeholders across Finance, Sales, Legal, Operations, and Technology.
- A collaborative, customer-focused leadership style and the ability to remain effective in a fast-moving environment.
Nice to have
- CPA, CA, CMA, MBA, or comparable professional qualification.
- Experience with Salesforce, NetSuite, Zuora, or similar enterprise finance and billing platforms.
- Direct experience managing transactions through AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Marketplace.
- Experience in a public-company, SOX-compliant, IPO-readiness, or private-equity-backed environment.
- Experience integrating acquired businesses into standardized quote-to-cash and financial-control processes.
- Cybersecurity or enterprise-software industry experience.
Benefits
- Competitive compensation and comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage
- Retirement savings programs with company matching (401(k) or RRSP)
- Generous paid time off, including holidays, and vacation
- Paid parental leave and family support benefits
- Life and disability coverage

- Access to LinkedIn Learning and continuous learning resources
- Employee referral bonus program and additional company perks and discounts
- Internal rewards and recognition platform (Motivosity) to celebrate and acknowledge project wins, milestone achievements, and the outstanding contributions of our colleagues
