If this sounds like a journey you want to embark on, we may have the right role for you! Payfit is the Payroll & HR service for every business. Built on millions of payslips processed, Payfit combines expert-operated payroll, a complete People platform, and an AI that runs the day-to-day, so leaders can focus on their people and their growth. We are a European company operating from 3 main countries (France, Spain, and the UK) where we are supporting over 22,000 clients.
Creating a fulfilling work environment and culture is also a core mission at Payfit, and our day-to-day work philosophy is reflected in our four values:
Care: We genuinely care for others whoever they are, whatever they think.
Excellence: We aim to improve and achieve better results every day.
Humility: Staying humble and exchanging transparent feedback helps us to grow and improve.
Passion: We are the architects of Payfit's success.
A key part of our culture, and essential for our success, is also improving the diversity of our teams and building an inclusive culture where you can be yourself at work.

Why this role, why now
AI is already part of how we work across Payfit. We’re now scaling its use across high-value workflows to help our teams work faster, with greater accuracy and consistency, and deliver measurable improvements in productivity, service quality and execution speed.
As one of our first AI Workflow Builders, you’ll take workflows from business problem to everyday adoption. You’ll work closely with business teams to understand how work gets done, redesign processes around AI agents, build and configure solutions in short cycles, and improve them through weekly demos and user feedback. You’ll partner with our Application Framework team to ensure every solution is secure, reliable, and scalable.
The team
You'll join a dedicated AI Enablement team of 4, plus a team lead reporting directly to the CEO. The team's mandate is focused delivery - identifying the highest-value workflow opportunities across Payfit, building AI agents that connect to our business systems, and iterating until solutions become part of everyday work.
You'll work in close, structured collaboration with the Application Framework team in Engineering - co-building shared permissions, approved integrations, evaluation frameworks, monitoring, and human interaction patterns. The focus team owns workflow delivery and adoption; Application Framework owns shared infrastructure and technical standards.
Success is measured in net time saved, cycle time reduction, quality improvements, sustained usage, and operating cost.
What you'll do- Map current workflows with users — simplify before automating, identify pain points, decisions, and exceptions that AI can absorb.
- Co-design the target process and clear success criteria with business teams, aligning on value before building.
- Build and iterate agents and low-code workflows (prompts, knowledge sources, structured data) to deliver working solutions quickly.
- Connect systems and steps via approved integrations, APIs, or lightweight scripts — partnering with engineers when the problem requires it.
- Pilot, document, and roll out workflows; train users, support change, and use feedback to drive sustained adoption.
- Co-own shared patterns with the Application Framework team: permissions, evaluation, monitoring, human review steps, and security.
What you'll bring- Experience in business operations, process improvement, product building, consulting, or transformation.
- Hands-on practice with agent platforms, automation tools, or low-code environments.
- Comfort working with prompts, structured data, APIs, and lightweight scripting — you don't need to be an engineer, but you're not afraid of the technical layer.
- A track record of simplifying processes, building working solutions, and improving them based on user feedback.
- Strong listening and communication skills — you can turn a messy workflow conversation into a clear redesign proposal.
- Practical approach to user adoption: you think about change management, not just configuration.
- End-to-end ownership from discovery through rollout
