We are working closely with a local authority in North Northamptonshire to assist with the appointment of a Housing Services Manager, on a 3-months contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: £28.09- £39.00 per hour

Summary:

The Housing Services Manager is responsible for the operational leadership and strategic development of housing management services, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, efficient, compliant and resident-focused services. Working closely with the Head of Housing Management, the postholder will lead teams responsible for tenancy management, income collection, estate services, leasehold management, tenancy enforcement, tenant engagement and housing support.

Responsibilities:

- Provide visible and effective leadership across housing management services, promoting accountability, ownership, professionalism and a positive service culture.

- Establish clear performance expectations, recognise good practice and address underperformance through appropriate management interventions.

- Oversee the operational delivery of tenancy management, leasehold management, estate services, tenancy support and enforcement activities.

- Ensure vulnerable residents are identified and receive appropriate support to sustain tenancies, maintain independence and improve their financial resilience and wellbeing.

Qualifications:

- Educated to A-level standard or equivalent, with a degree in a relevant subject such as Housing Management, Housing Studies, Public Administration or a related discipline.

- Evidence of continuing professional development (CPD) and commitment to maintaining up-to-date knowledge of housing legislation, regulatory standards and sector best practice.

Essentials:

- Extensive experience working within a local authority, registered housing provider or a comparable housing management organisation.

- At least five years' experience managing staff teams, including performance management, staff development and operational leadership.

- Experience managing tenancy services, rent collection, arrears recovery, estate management, tenancy enforcement or related housing functions.

- You should have right to work in U.K

- This role requires a Basic DBS
