Lead Product Engineer
True Talent Solutions Partners · New York · onsite
ABOUT THE ROLE
Join a lean engineering team at an industrial real estate investment firm as its first product-focused engineer. You will own the front end of a new internal product, building data-driven tools that help teams make informed investment decisions.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Own and improve the front-end codebase, including refactoring early implementations, establishing reusable design components, and shipping new features.
- Build data-rich user experiences with charts, maps, and AI-powered insights for sourcing and leasing workflows.
- Work directly with internal users to understand their processes, synthesize requirements, and test prototypes quickly.
- Use Figma or AI tools to design and prototype features, contribute product ideas, and help shape the roadmap with leadership.
- Partner with backend and infrastructure engineering and quantitative research colleagues to develop tools for additional business functions.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Four to ten years of front-end-heavy experience building and shipping production applications, including substantial ownership from scoping through deployment.
- Strong experience with React and Next.js, along with data visualization, charts, maps, or other data-intensive product interfaces.
- Experience building enterprise products and complete user-facing products, not only isolated components or design systems.
- Comfort using Figma or similar tools and AI coding or design tools to prototype and ship features.
- Strong CS fundamentals, a coherent engineering career, and experience working directly with users and stakeholders.
- At least two years at a large technology company or high-growth startup, with sustained engineering roles and job tenures typically of 18 months or more.
