The role
At IPL Brightgreen, our Buy Back Scheme is a UK wide initiative, designed to collect and recover rigid plastic products, including Storage containers, wheelie bins and plastic pallets and crates. Once returned to site, these materials are processed and repurposed to create new durable products.
As Purchasing Coordinator for our Buy Back Scheme, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of bringing in these materials and liaising with customers and the internal sales team.
· Maintain customer and supplier relationships
· Negotiating material and prices with current and prospective customers
· Attending customer sites both internal and external
· Liaise with sales to forecast future sale demands and lead on any potential future contracts from customers
· Ensure the smooth collection and storage of products return to site via the Buy Back Scheme is maintained with our haulers
· Maintain stock levels at our storage facilities
· Work with production and planning teams to process items through the processing plant
Process and raise purchase order numbers in accordance with company process
This role is based onsite and will include travel to other IPL Scholler sites and customers
