Join our welcoming, collaborative office where you'll work alongside experienced legal professionals. Birmingham, AL may also be considered for qualified candidates.

Note

Candidates must hold a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and an active bar license in good standing in any U.S. state. Prior VA disability or veterans benefits experience is preferred but not required. We welcome motivated attorneys who are eager to learn, grow, and obtain VA accreditation if not already accredited.

Job Description

- Represent veterans in VA disability compensation claims, appeals, and benefits matters.

- Develop compelling cases by reviewing medical records, military service records, and supporting evidence.

- Prepare claims, supplemental claims, appeals, and other legal documentation.

- Advocate for clients before the Department of Veterans Affairs and Board of Veterans' Appeals.

- Communicate with veterans and their families, explaining the process and providing compassionate guidance.

- Manage cases efficiently with the assistance of experienced legal support professionals.

- Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to develop strategies and achieve positive client outcomes.

Qualifications

- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

- Active bar license in good standing in any U.S. state.

- Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and advocacy skills.

- Excellent communication, organization, and client-service abilities.

- Ability to manage multiple cases, deadlines, and priorities.

- VA disability claims, veterans benefits, or appeals experience preferred.

- VA accreditation preferred, or willingness to obtain it.

- Ability to work on-site in Enterprise, AL, or an approved Birmingham location.

- Newly licensed attorneys are encouraged to apply.
