Technica Engineering is a technology company specialized in the development, validation and verification of software and electronic solutions at the automotive sector. With a strong focus on technologies like Automotive Ethernet and the development of ECUS, we bring technical consulting services in areas like ADAS, on-board networks, getaways, and comfort and security functions.
We are currently offering a permanent position as Test Engineer based in Vigo, Spain, as part of the continued growth of our technical team. You will play a key role in supporting our roadmap by contributing to the development and validation of our internal simulation framework and toolchain. You may also have the opportunity to participate in client projects involving simulation, network testing, and validation activities.
You are the ideal candidate if you have a strong technical mindset, experience in software testing and quality assurance, and a passion for automation and simulation. Experience with Python and/or C/C++, CI/CD, Git and GitLab, as well as familiarity with Agile methodologies, will be highly valued. We are looking for an autonomous and communicative professional with a strong commitment to quality, continuous learning, and the development of innovative technological solutions.
What are we looking for?
- Professional experience in the automotive, telecommunications, or software development industry.
- Engineering degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Good programming skills in Python, C++ and/or C.
- Experience or knowledge of software testing, quality assurance, and test methodologies.
- Good understanding of network technologies and communication protocols, particularly Ethernet and TCP/IP.
- Ability to work in a technical environment with a structured and quality-oriented approach.
- Full professional proficiency in English.
Nice to have:
- Experience with automated testing and test framework development.
- Knowledge of HIL/PIL simulation and ECU testing.
- Experience with embedded software development, vehicle development, or validation processes.
- Familiarity with CI/CD, Git, and GitLab.
- Knowledge of simulation tools.
- Experience working with Agile methodologies, including Scrum.
- ISTQB certification is considered a plus.
- Experience preparing technical test reports and communicating results to internal or external stakeholders.
What will your tasks be?
- Analyze customer requirements and specifications and translate them into appropriate testing strategies and test concepts.
- Define, implement, and execute test cases for embedded systems and automotive applications.
- Perform the commissioning and implementation of ECU tests in HIL and PIL simulation environments.
- Develop automated test cases and test frameworks to ensure the correct integration and functionality of software and electronic systems.
- Plan and execute embedded system and component tests according to defined specifications, quality requirements, and performance standards.
- Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of our internal simulation framework and OMNeT++ toolchain.
- Support network testing, simulation, and validation activities in client projects.
- Analyse test results, identify potential issues, and contribute to their resolution in collaboration with the technical teams.
- Prepare and maintain test documentation and reports, ensuring clear communication of results and findings.
- Use Technica Engineering's own products and technical solutions as test tools where applicable.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams following Agile methodologies, contributing to continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
