You will join our friendly, forward-thinking Merchandising department, helping us land commercial plans that feel as fresh and effortless as our seasonal collections. We are searching for someone who appreciates the fine craftsmanship of our heritage while keeping a sharp eye on future trade. Working Pattern
When live opportunities arise, this is a full-time role based onsite at The Barn, Joules’ purpose-built Head Office in Market Harborough, Leicestershire. The typical hours for this role are 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.

What You’ll Do
Working hand in hand with our Buying team, you will help make sure every collection lands with maximum commercial impact. You will be the storyteller behind the spreadsheets, turning trade figures into actionable insights, predicting what our customers will fall for next, and keeping an eye on profitability.
You will be responsible for:
- Planning with purpose: Build seasonal range frameworks using sales and profit analysis, spotting the next big retail opportunities for our signature preppy styles
- Trading the numbers: Live and breathe weekly trade alongside your team, reacting swiftly and smartly to consumer habits to turn real-time figures into commercial wins
- Balancing the range: Hit financial targets by adjusting intake and allocations as the season unfolds, keeping the department firmly on track
- Mastering the detail: Take ownership of department forecasts and performance tracking, ensuring total accuracy across every spreadsheet and system
- Building trusted partnerships: Collaborate closely with external suppliers and internal teams, communicating range plans with clarity, warmth, and confidence
- Guiding future collections: Share your findings with key decision-makers, pairing your commercial intuition with real data to help guide a stylish, profitable future
What You’ll Bring
To really shine in this role, you will bring a calm, level head under pressure, genuine commercial curiosity, and a love for the small details that make retail tick. You are approachable, self-effacing, and always up for rolling your sleeves up with the team.
We would also love to see:
- Experience within a similar Assistant Merchandiser role or a relevant retail degree, ideally within fashion or lifestyle brands
- A natural comfort with numbers and spreadsheets, turning raw data into clear, actionable commercial opportunities
- A proactive, adaptable attitude with a great sense of humour and a love for getting things done
- A genuine appreciation for British heritage, timeless craftsmanship, and our signature preppy aesthetic
- Strong communication skills and the confidence to present commercial insights to cross-functional partners
