Sr Product Manager, Career Agents
LinkedIn · Sunnyvale, California, United States · hybrid
LinkedIn is the world's largest professional network, built to create economic opportunity for every member of the global workforce. Our products help people make powerful connections, discover exciting opportunities, build necessary skills, and gain valuable insights every day. We're also committed to providing transformational opportunities for our own employees by investing in their growth. We aspire to create a culture that's built on trust, care, inclusion, and fun – where everyone can succeed.
Join us to transform the way the world works.
This role can be based in San Francisco or Sunnyvale, CA.
At LinkedIn, our approach to flexible work is centered on trust and optimized for culture, connection, clarity, and the evolving needs of our business. The work location of this role is hybrid, meaning it will be performed both from home and from a LinkedIn office on select days, as determined by the business needs of the team.
We’re building an agent that works on behalf of our members across their entire career. It learns who they are and what they want, finds opportunities they would have overlooked, surfaces the people who can help them get there, and takes the next step with them.
We’re looking for a Senior Product Manager to join the Career Agents team in our talent marketplace. You’ll own a core part of the agent’s product experience, and you’ll be accountable for one thing above all: whether it actually works for members. You’ll work side by side with AI and ML engineers, designers, and researchers, and you’ll ship iterations weekly.
Responsibilities:
- Define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for your area of the agent, grounded in what members need and what only LinkedIn can deliver
- Own quality end to end: define what “good” looks like, build eval sets and rubrics with AI engineers, read traces, and run hill-climbing loops until the metrics move
- Shape the agent harness with engineering: which tools and skills the agent has, how it plans multi-step tasks, and how it uses memory and context across sessions
- Design for trust: decide when the agent acts on its own, when it asks, and how members see, correct, and approve what it does
- Prototype with new models and techniques, put working versions in front of members in days, and use what you learn to decide what to build, cut, or double down on
- Make data-driven decisions by pulling and analyzing data from multiple sources, including evals, member research, and product metrics
- Partner across product, engineering, AI, design, and legal to ship agent experiences that are valuable, simple, and safe
- Generate buy-in and excitement with key stakeholders and executives across LinkedIn
- Contribute toward a team culture focused on high velocity decision making, deep care, and learning
Basic Qualifications:
- BS/BA Degree in a technology related field OR equivalent experience
- 4+ years of experience in product management or equivalent role
Preferred Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience building agents or LLM-powered products and shipping them to real users
- Deep experience with evals: building eval sets and rubrics, error analysis, and using results to drive product decisions
- Strong understanding of how agents work: tool use, planning, memory and context management, and common failure modes
- Strong instincts for human-in-the-loop design and building member trust in automated actions
- Comfort prototyping with LLMs yourself (e.g., prompting, light scripting, testing new models)
- Strong analytical skills and comfort making data-driven decisions
- Experience working on consumer products at scale
- Ability to collaborate and lead across multiple partner teams with strong systems thinking
- Experience in jobs, hiring, or careers is a plus, not a requirement
Suggested Skills
- Product Management
- Generative AI
- Large Language Models
- Consumer Products
