Job: Account Executive (Tour Consultant)
Location: In-office; Denver, CO
Start Date: January 19th, 2027
Your Opportunity:
As an Educational Tour Consultant, you'll oversee a geographic territory of schools in the United States and run it like your own business. Your mission? To inspire educators to show their students the world, serving as their partner to create international travel programs at their schools. You'll source and connect with teachers, consult with them to select the right tour based on their students' interests and learning needs, help them build excitement in their community and enroll students, and support preparing the group for a successful departure. Then you'll do it all again, earning repeat business as teachers bring their groups back year after year. Along the way, you'll coach teachers to make travel-based learning an essential part of education in their school, create your territory roadmap to drive sustainable growth in teachers and students, resolve business challenges, and combine sales and service that puts customers first. We will onboard you, provide ongoing training, and support your continued career development.
What You’ll Do:
- Own your business. Manage and grow a geographic territory of existing and prospective customers, owning your book of business from start to finish
- Prospect and convert. Make a high volume of calls and target outreach to identify new schools and educators, then turn interest into established travel programs.
- Hit your numbers. Forecast and hit key account metrics (monthly and quarterly sales projections and goals)
- Support groups end to end. Make it easy for teachers every step of the way—from inspiring them to lead a tour, to helping them recruit student travelers, preparing them for departure, ensuring they enjoy their time on tour, return home safely, and repeat.
- Handle the unexpected. Put your customers first while you use your knowledge of EF procedures to successfully solve pre-tour, on-tour, and post-tour challenges. Don’t worry – after training, you’ll be an expert!
- Use modern tools. Use AI and other tools to sharpen your outreach, follow-up, and in-person meetings.
- Advise educators. Field incoming phone calls from teachers across the organization to help with tour related questions, events, and emergencies.
- Adapt to the school calendar. Shift your priorities and focus based on the seasonality of the school-year calendar, supporting teachers through planning, recruitment, departure, and return seasons.
- Change lives. Sell a product that truly shapes how students view the world by being fearless, focused and having fun! And you travel too!
