ABOUT THE ROLE
Join an early-stage healthtech team as a Founding Engineer, working directly with the founders to build and improve software for practicing clinical conversations. You will initially take ownership of technical customer support, then automate support workflows and move into full-stack product development.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Provide technical support across AI simulation, learning management, field experience, and compliance products.
- Diagnose and resolve issues reported by educators, students, and university administrators.
- Build automations and internal tools to reduce support workload and help the team scale.
- Develop and ship full-stack product features used by students and faculty.
- Contribute to product decisions, technical architecture, engineering culture, and AI agent workflows.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Zero to four years of experience in software engineering, full-stack development, or forward-deployed engineering.
- Experience as a founder, founding team member, or engineer at an early-stage startup.
- A software engineering background with full-stack experience; this role is not primarily focused on Android development.
- Comfort working autonomously, moving quickly, and taking ownership without a daily task list.
- Interest in AI agents, LLMs, and automation.
- Experience in education technology or working with universities is helpful.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Base salary is $160,000 to $200,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is available.
LOCATION
On-site, five days per week in New York, New York.
