We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Health, Safety, and Environmental Manager to join our team and contribute to this mission.

The Senior Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Manager is a strategic business leader responsible for developing, implementing, and continuously improving Ourvita's HSE strategy across U.S. operations. The role protects employees, supports operational excellence, ensures regulatory compliance, and advances environmental stewardship. By partnering with executive, operational, and functional leaders, the Senior HSE Manager embeds HSE considerations into business decisions, strengthens accountability, and builds sustainable systems that support growth, resilience, and high performance.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Provide strategic leadership and governance for HSE programs across multiple U.S. facilities and support functions.

- Develop and execute HSE strategies, standards, annual objectives, and key performance indicators that align with business priorities, regulatory requirements, and operational excellence initiatives.

- Serve as a trusted advisor to executive and operational leaders by evaluating HSE risks, recommending practical solutions, and integrating HSE considerations into business planning and decision-making.

- Champion a proactive safety culture by establishing clear expectations, strengthening leadership accountability, and increasing employee engagement in hazard identification and risk reduction.

- Lead enterprise compliance, risk management, and assurance programs to meet applicable occupational safety, environmental, transportation, and occupational health requirements.

- Direct HSE management systems, including audits, inspections, risk assessments, incident investigations, root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions, and regulatory reporting.

- Provide oversight for critical risk programs, including contractor safety, lockout/tagout, machine safeguarding, industrial hygiene, chemical management, ergonomics, emergency preparedness, occupational health, and process or task-specific hazard controls.

- Establish and monitor leading and lagging indicators. Use dashboards, trend analysis, and site comparisons to identify priorities, measure effectiveness, and drive timely corrective action.

- Lead the design and delivery of HSE training, leadership development, and competency programs that build organizational capability and strengthen safety ownership.

- Partner with operations, engineering, maintenance, quality, supply chain, and People & Culture to integrate HSE requirements into change management, capital projects, process improvements, and new equipment or facility design.

- Collaborate with Ourvita HSE leadership to align corporate initiatives, share best practices, and ensure consistent execution of standards across the business.

- Serve as the primary company representative with regulatory agencies, emergency response organizations, industry associations, auditors, and other external stakeholders, as appropriate.

- Lead environmental compliance and stewardship programs, including permits, waste management, air and water requirements, spill prevention, energy and resource conservation, and sustainability initiatives.

- Support corporate environmental, social, and governance reporting by maintaining accurate data, validating performance information, and advancing measurable environmental objectives.

- Partner with executive leadership to establish annual and long-range HSE priorities, staffing and resource needs, and capital investment recommendations that protect employees, assets, operations, and the environment.

- Lead, coach, and develop HSE professionals and site leadership teams. Build bench strength, clarify accountability, and support succession and capability planning.

- Prepare and present concise HSE performance updates, risk assessments, and recommendations to senior leadership.

- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned to support business needs.

Additional Responsibilities

- Understand and consistently support applicable Good Manufacturing Practices and quality system requirements.

- Immediately stop work when an imminent risk is observed and follow established escalation and reporting procedures.

- Correct or promptly report unsafe conditions, behaviors, environmental concerns, and other hazards.

- Follow and promote all company safety policies, procedures, and required use of personal protective equipment.

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

Safety Protocol:

- Stop any observed unsafe acts and obey facility safety rules and procedures.

- Correct or report any observed safety hazards.

- Support safety policies and programs.

Qualifications:

Education / Experience / Certifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field required. An advanced degree is preferred.

- Minimum of 10 years of progressive HSE experience, including leadership responsibility in a multi-site manufacturing, distribution, or industrial environment.

- Demonstrated success developing and implementing HSE strategy, leading compliance and risk management programs, and improving performance across multiple locations.

- Experience in pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, food, chemical, or another regulated manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.

- Experience partnering with executive and operational leadership to reduce risk, improve safety culture, and support business performance.

- Professional certification such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM), or an equivalent credential is preferred.

- Strong working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT, and applicable federal, state, and local requirements.

- An equivalent combination of education, professional certifications, and relevant experience may be considered.

- Expertise in risk assessment, incident investigation, root cause analysis, corrective action management, and HSE auditing.

- Ability to analyze performance data, identify trends, and translate insights into practical actions and measurable improvements.

- Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives, influence without direct authority, and drive accountability for results.

- Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities across multiple locations.
