We are committed to fostering a diverse, inclusive workplace where employees are valued, supported, and empowered to make a difference.Position SummaryLiberty Resources is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Associate to join our Finance team on a temporary basis. The Accounting Associate supports key accounting functions, including accounts payable, vendor management, financial recordkeeping, and general administrative support.This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys working in a collaborative, mission-driven environment.ResponsibilitiesAccounts PayableReview, code, and process invoices and check requests.Distribute accounts payable checks and respond to vendor inquiries.Research and resolve invoice discrepancies.Maintain accurate vendor records, including tax reporting information and contact details.Ensure tax-exempt documentation is current and provided to vendors as needed.Organize and maintain accounts payable files and records.Accounting SupportAssist with annual audits and other accounting functions.Review financial documents for accuracy and compliance with agency procedures.Support year-end processing, including 1099 preparation and filing.Assist employees with accounting-related questions, petty cash requests, and purchase orders.QualificationsAssociate's or Bachelor's degree with at least 2 years of accounting-related experience, orHigh School Diploma/GED with 3-5 years of accounting-related experience.Experience with MIP Abila software preferredLiberty Resources is committed to creating a diverse inclusive environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
