AYN

Mid-Level Product Engineer

Clera · San Francisco · onsite

ABOUT THE ROLE

Join an early-stage AI recruiting technology company as a full-stack Product Engineer. You will build reliable, user-focused products and integrate AI capabilities into practical product experiences, helping shape technical direction as the team grows.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

- Own product features from scoping and requirements through implementation, testing, and production deployment.

- Design APIs and data models, and build frontend and backend functionality.

- Deliver user-facing experiences, then improve usability and performance using user feedback and product metrics.

- Integrate AI and large language model services into production product flows.

- Build and maintain backend services, data schemas, CI/CD, monitoring, and testing.

- Work with product and design partners to prioritize work, define success metrics, and make pragmatic architecture and roadmap decisions.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

- 2 to 8 years of software engineering experience, including shipping user-facing products in a startup or product-focused environment.

- Production full-stack experience with TypeScript and React or Next.js, plus backend development in Python or Node.js.

- Experience with PostgreSQL and AWS or GCP.

- Practical experience integrating AI or LLM services into production applications, with an emphasis on engineering and user outcomes.

- Strong product judgment, end-to-end ownership, and comfort working across frontend, backend, and operational tasks in a small, high-ambiguity team.

- Backend-heavy product engineering experience; familiarity with multi-tenant, enterprise-ready, real-time, or high-throughput systems and regulated industries or complex internal tools is useful.

- Willingness and availability to work on-site on the expected 9-to-9 schedule.
