Atlas Digital works with government and private sector clients to plan and deliver technology and digital projects. We’re looking for a Delivery Manager to join our Canberra team.
We’re looking for someone who has managed delivery before, is comfortable working directly with clients and can take responsibility for getting things done. You’ll work alongside our senior delivery and technical people, but you’ll need the experience and judgement to manage your own projects and workstreams.
This could suit someone working at a Big Four firm or another professional services business who is looking for more ownership in a smaller team. That background would be welcome, but it’s not essential.
About the roleYou’ll work with clients and technical teams to turn priorities into a clear plan and manage the work through to completion. This includes:
- Managing project scope, delivery plans, budgets and priorities.
- Coordinating work across technical teams, business stakeholders and delivery partners.
- Building strong client relationships and keeping people informed about progress, decisions and issues.
- Managing risks and dependencies, resolving problems and having the difficult conversations when needed.
- Making sure meetings lead to decisions, actions are followed through and the team can get on with the work.
We need someone who gets involved and helps resolve problems, rather than just tracking and reporting on them.
What we’re looking forYou’ll have experience managing technology or digital projects, with examples of work you’ve taken responsibility for and delivered. Your current title matters less than the responsibility you’ve held.
You’ll need to be organised, communicate clearly and be comfortable working with both technical teams and senior client stakeholders. You should be able to challenge an unrealistic deadline, work through competing priorities and recognise when an issue needs to be escalated.
Experience with government clients and Agile delivery would be useful. You don’t need to be a technical specialist, but you do need to understand enough about technology delivery to ask the right questions and work effectively with the team.
You must be based in Canberra. You must be able to obtain a baseline security clearance.
