Surgical Services Operations Manager

Triangle Surgery Center is seeking an experienced perioperative professional to provide leadership, coordination, and operational oversight for our Operating Room department. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated healthcare leader to support clinical excellence, physician satisfaction, regulatory compliance, staff development, and operational efficiency in a fast-paced ambulatory surgery center.
Reporting to the Director of Nursing, this leadership position is responsible for the day-to-day coordination and management of surgical services operations. The individual will work collaboratively with physicians, clinical staff, vendors, and leadership to ensure efficient workflow, high-quality patient care, regulatory compliance, staff engagement, and exceptional service.
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse Candidates
- Current unrestricted North Carolina RN license
- BLS required; ACLS and PALS preferred
- Minimum three years of perioperative experience
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred
Surgical Technologist Candidate Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program
- Current CST certification preferred
- BLS required
- Minimum three years of perioperative experience
- Prior leadership, charge, coordinator, or supervisory experience preferred
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Coordinating daily Operating Room activities and staffing
- Supporting efficient case flow, block utilization, and productivity
- Assisting with staff onboarding, training, and development
- Collaborating with physicians and vendors regarding equipment and supply needs
- Monitoring inventory, instrumentation, and equipment availability
- Participating in performance improvement and quality initiatives
- Supporting compliance with accreditation, infection prevention, and patient safety standards
- Addressing operational concerns and facilitating problem resolution
- Participating in department and leadership meetings
- Serving as a resource to staff and providers
- Demonstrate leadership and communication skills
- Possess excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Be highly collaborative and team-oriented
- Understand perioperative workflow and patient safety principles
- Build positive relationships with physicians and staff
- Thrive in a dynamic ambulatory surgery environment
- Maintain a commitment to quality, service excellence, and continuous improvement
