ABOUT THE ROLE
Join an early-stage AI customer success software team as a Founding Forward Deployed Engineer. You will work directly with enterprise customers to bring AI agents into production, own deployments end to end, and turn customer feedback into improvements to the core platform.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Work with customers to understand onboarding, adoption, and renewal workflows and identify where AI agents can create value.
- Connect agents to customer systems and data sources, configure integrations and single sign-on, and deploy solutions to production.
- Build evaluations using real customer data, assess agent quality, and improve performance before launch.
- Partner with go-to-market teams on technical discussions, account activation, and expansion.
- Feed deployment insights into the product and improve platform capabilities when they limit customer outcomes.
- Debug live deployments, investigate root causes, and deliver focused end-to-end solutions that demonstrate value.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Three to seven years of experience in customer-facing software engineering, forward deployed engineering, solutions engineering, or technical implementation.
- Experience owning customer rollouts and building and deploying LLM agents, including prompts, evaluations, and complex, long-running workflows.
- Strong Python and FastAPI backend skills, plus React frontend experience; familiarity with PostgreSQL, RAG, BigQuery, CI/CD, and agent frameworks is relevant.
- Experience in an early-stage or high-growth startup, with customer-facing deployment work; a mix of larger-company and startup experience is valued.
- Strong computer science fundamentals and a track record of stable role tenure and recent career growth.
- Based in or willing to relocate to the San Francisco Bay Area, with experience working in a hybrid environment.
- Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Base salary is $180,000 to $230,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is not available.
