As a Medium‑Voltage Electrical Design Engineer, you will:
- Design and develop medium‑voltage electrical systems, components, and assemblies
- Produce detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings
- Apply engineering principles to support product development, system integration, and manufacturing
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure electrical designs meet performance, safety, and regulatory requirements
- Utilize electrical CAD tools to create, modify, and maintain design documentation
- Support prototype builds, testing, troubleshooting, and design validation activities
- Provide technical guidance throughout the design lifecycle, including concept development, design reviews, and release to production
- Ensure designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and industry best practices
- Contribute to continuous improvement of electrical design processes, tools, and documentation
- Assist with resolving engineering change requests and supporting production or field issues related to electrical design
- Work collaboratively with suppliers and Applied partners
- Contribute to projects that impact communities in Pewaukee, Brookfield, New Berlin, Sussex, Hartland, Muskego, Menomonee Falls, West Allis, and Wauwatosa and the greater Milwaukee metro

QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience designing medium‑voltage electrical systems
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical, SolidWorks Electrical, EPlan, or similar electrical CAD tools
- Experience creating electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings
- Understanding of electrical components, power distribution, and system protection principles
- Ability to interpret and apply electrical codes, standards, and regulatory requirements
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional engineering and manufacturing teams
- Clear communication skills and strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Familiarity with design validation, testing, and documentation practices
- Experience with medium‑voltage equipment such as switchgear, transformers, or power distribution assemblies
- Capable of working independently and as a team member
- Strong work ethic and unwavering integrity
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a learning mindset

ESTIMATED PAY RANGE
Engineer I: $40.45–$46.52/hour
Engineer II: $44.14–$50.76/hour
Engineer III: $47.83–$55.00/hour
Senior Engineer: $51.51–$59.24/hour
Final compensation is based on experience, skills, and alignment with role expectations. Paid overtime may be available.
