The Role
As a Territory Manager, you’ll take responsibility for driving sales growth and expanding our market presence across IL, MN, IA and WI.
You’ll use your sales expertise and understanding of the healthcare market to develop new business, grow existing accounts and build trusted relationships with healthcare providers, hospital administrators and other key decision-makers.
This is a strategic, customer-focused sales role where your ability to understand customer needs, navigate complex healthcare environments and clearly demonstrate the value of our solutions will be key to your success.
Key Responsibilities
• Sales Strategy: Develop and deliver a regional sales strategy aligned with company objectives, identifying opportunities to grow our respiratory diagnostics business.
• Customer Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, including secondary care hospitals and GP asthma & allergy networks, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
• New Business: Identify and develop new opportunities through market research, networking and relationship building, converting leads into customers.
• Presentations & Demonstrations: Deliver engaging presentations and product demonstrations to healthcare professionals and decision-makers, clearly demonstrating the value of our respiratory diagnostic solutions.
• Market Insight: Monitor market trends, competitor activity and customer feedback to identify opportunities and inform sales and product strategies.
• Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, customer service and product development teams to support sales initiatives, promotional activity and product improvements.
• Pipeline & Reporting: Maintain accurate CRM records, manage the sales pipeline and provide regular forecasts and updates to management.
• Travel: Travel throughout the assigned territory as required by your line manager.
What We’re Looking For
Education
• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, life sciences or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in sales or healthcare are a plus.
Experience
• Experience in the medical technology or healthcare industry, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• At least 3 years’ outside sales experience, with a strong track record of winning new business, managing a defined territory, developing strategic business plans and consistently delivering revenue targets.
• Strong understanding of terminology and key acronyms used within the medtech sector.
• Experience working in complex hospital environments and engaging stakeholders across clinical, procurement and administrative teams.
• Experience with software solutions and engaging AHP’s is highly desirable.
• Experience managing complex sales cycles. Previous software or SaaS sales experience is preferred.
• Experience in respiratory diagnostics or a related field is highly desirable.
• Previous experience selling both capital equipment and software in a hospital environment is a plus.
Skills & Capabilities
• Strong understanding of sales processes, techniques and best practices, with experience using CRM tools such as Salesforce.
• Consultative selling: Able to understand customer needs and develop the right solutions, while managing and improving the end-to-end sales process.
• Relationship management: Strong ability to build relationships and engage and influence healthcare professionals and key decision-makers.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and persuasively.
• Analytical thinking: Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to identify market opportunities and make data-driven decisions.
• Industry knowledge: Strong understanding of the healthcare industry, market dynamics and customer behaviour.
