About the Role:
As a Backend Software Engineer, AI Platform at Claroty, you will design and build high-performance backend systems and production-grade AI solutions that secure critical cyber-physical environments. You will solve complex architecture, networking, and data challenges, integrating cutting-edge LLM and AI technologies directly into our core product platform.
ResponsibilitiesAs a Backend Software Engineer, AI Platform your impact will be:
- Feature & Architectural Ownership: Take end-to-end ownership over complex features from initial architecture to global deployment implementing scalable architectures across cloud and on-prem environments.
- AI & LLM Integration: Design, build, and deploy production-grade LLM applications, RAG systems, and AI agents to enable intelligent natural language interfaces and automated security workflows.
- AI-Assisted Engineering: Integrate modern AI development platforms (specifically Cursor, Claude, or GitHub Copilot) into daily workflows to accelerate code generation, optimize refactoring, and automate complex problem-solving.
- Code Excellence: Promote engineering best practices, system resilience, and clean code architecture.
RequirementsWhat you need to succeed in this role:
- Backend & Python Expertise: 5+ years of hands-on experience in server backend design and development, with a strong track record of building complex production applications in Python.
- AI & LLM Applications (Hands-on): Practical experience building and deploying production-grade LLM applications, RAG systems, AI agents, or natural language interfaces.
- Distributed Systems Architecture: Proven experience building distributed, high-availability, large-scale systems handling real-time data traffic and networking protocols.
- AI-Driven Workflows: Proficiency in utilizing AI development tools (specifically Cursor and Claude) to streamline software development workflows and root-cause defect analysis.
- Bonus Points: Cloud-Native experience (AWS/Azure/GCP, Docker, Kubernetes), cybersecurity background (ZTNA, IAM, VPN), and deep networking/security knowledge (TCP/IP, SSH, RDP, Encryption).
