About Us

Trideum Corporation is a 100% employee-owned company, committed to embracing the world’s toughest challenges with a servant’s heart. Through dedicated hard work and commitment, we provide distinctive quality and unparalleled customer service in all aspects of our business. We also know that our employees are the key to our success, and it is our mission to take care of them so they can take care of our customers and communities where we live, work, and play.

Position Summary

If you like owning the platform end to end, from the rack and the UPS to the Azure subscription, this role is built for you. You'll be the primary engineer for our two Dell Azure Local (Azure Stack HCI) clusters, our Veeam/Data Domain backup platform, and our Windows and Linux fleet, and you'll lead our growing Azure Government environment as we unify on-prem and cloud through Azure Arc.

In this role you'll join an eight-person Infrastructure & Operations team, reporting to our Senior Systems Engineer. As a key member of the team, you'll take ownership of well-established critical infrastructure environment. A key part of this role is strengthening the team's operational resilience through thorough documentation, cross-training, and shared operational knowledge.

What You’ll Do

- Run our two Azure Local clusters: Hyper-V and Storage Spaces Direct operations, lifecycle updates, capacity planning, and the VM fleet on them (including our GitLab CI runners).

- Administer Windows Server and Active Directory, plus a smaller RHEL/Ubuntu fleet (Satellite, IdM, Landscape).

- Own backup and recovery on Veeam and Data Domain, including proving that restores actually work.

- Lead day-to-day Azure Government administration: VM lifecycle, subscriptions, tagging and cost, Azure Policy, Key Vaults, RBAC, etc.

- Unify hybrid management across Azure Local and Azure Government with Azure Arc and Azure Update Manager.

- Own patching, vulnerability remediation, and STIG/CIS hardening, and produce evidence for our CMMC / NIST 800-171 assessments.

- Own the physical side: server and rack hardware, UPS maintenance, and facilities coordination for power and HVAC. Switches, firewalls, and Wi-Fi belong to the network team.

Your first six months

- Take ownership of the Azure Local clusters and the backup platform from our departing lead, documenting as you go.

- Finish the OS parity work between Azure Local and Azure Government, then stand up Arc-based patching through Azure Update Manager across both.

- Take over Azure Government subscription, Key Vault, and RBAC administration from our senior systems engineer.

What we need you to have done before

- 7+ years running production server infrastructure as the responsible engineer.

- Operated an Active Directory forest as the responsible admin: GPO baselines, domain controller health, identity recovery.

- Run a production Hyper-V or HCI cluster through at least one full lifecycle update. Azure Stack HCI / Azure Local is ideal; strong VMware vSAN engineers who want to convert are welcome.

- Owned a backup platform end to end, including restore testing.

- Administered Azure beyond portal basics (Government cloud preferred): subscriptions, RBAC, Key Vault, and enough PowerShell to automate the repetitive parts.

- Hardened Windows and Linux to STIG or CIS baselines and closed vulnerability findings in a compliance-driven environment; comfortable administering RHEL or Ubuntu alongside Windows.

Requirements and Qualifications

- Certifications: Current Security+ (or a higher DoD 8140 cert) or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire, and Current AZ-104 or AZ-800/801 or ability to obtain within 12 months funded by our team's training budget.

- A bachelor’s degree is preferred, but experience in lieu of degree is fully considered.

- US citizenship with the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.

Desired Qualifications:

- RHCSA, or real depth with Red Hat Satellite and IdM.

- Ansible, Terraform, or Bicep, and Git-based workflows (we run GitLab).

- Prior work in a DoD contractor / CMMC environment.

Working conditions

This position will work on-site at our Huntsville headquarters - you own physical infrastructure, so this role isn't remote work eligible. Core business hours are 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.; after-hours work is limited to scheduled maintenance windows, and genuine emergencies are rare. You'll occasionally lift and rack server hardware, so the ability to lift 25 lbs is required.
