Quantity Surveyor (Firefighting & Fire Alarm System )

Job OverviewWe are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join our Maintenance Department, with experience in cost estimation, quantity take-off, BOQ preparation, and cost control for firefighting and fire alarm maintenance works.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQ), quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and pricing schedules for maintenance works.
- Review work orders, scope of work, drawings, specifications, and technical documents to ensure accurate quantity measurements.
- Prepare cost estimates and monitor project budgets to ensure cost efficiency.
- Maintain records of quantities, material rates, labour costs, and other project-related expenses.
- Identify additional works, prepare variation orders, and assist with claims and extension-of-time documentation.
- Coordinate with the Maintenance, Project, Procurement, and Finance teams regarding material requirements and cost-related matters.
- Prepare cost reports and maintain accurate documentation for ongoing and completed maintenance works.
- Ensure all estimates and BOQs comply with project specifications and applicable technical requirements.
Qualifications and Experience- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in Quantity Surveying, preferably in firefighting, fire alarm, or fire protection systems.
- Experience in BOQ preparation, quantity take-off, cost estimation, and cost control.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office, and AutoCAD.
- Knowledge of NFPA standards and UAE Civil Defence (DCD) requirements is an advantage.
- Good analytical, communication, coordination, and documentation skills.
