Premier Cooperative is seeking an Inside Sales Representative to join our Mount Horeb Lumber Do it Best team. This position helps homeowners, contractors, farmers, remodelers, and businesses find the products and solutions they need to complete projects successfully.
The ideal candidate enjoys working with people, solving problems, and delivering exceptional customer service. We are open to candidates ranging from customer-service-focused individuals looking to grow in the building materials industry to experienced lumber and construction sales professionals capable of managing complex projects and estimating requirements.
As an Inside Sales Representative, you will play a key role in helping customers select products, prepare quotations, process orders, coordinate deliveries, and maintain long-term customer relationships.
Essential Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding customer service to walk-in, phone, and email customers.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with homeowners, contractors, farmers, and commercial customers.
- Assist customers with product selection and recommend solutions to meet project needs.
- Prepare estimates, quotations, and sales orders accurately and efficiently.
- Coordinate customer orders, deliveries, returns, and special-order products.
- Answer customer questions regarding products, pricing, availability, and delivery schedules.
- Support contractor and project sales through material recommendations and problem-solving.
- Work closely with yard, delivery, purchasing, and management teams to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate records, follow-up activities, and customer communications.
- Assist with merchandising, inventory maintenance, product displays, and store appearance.
- Operate point-of-sale and other business software systems.
- Stay current on building materials, hardware, paint, lumber, and related product lines.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
