WHAT YOU’LL DO

As a Product Manager these will be some of the key activities in your day-to-day role:

- Own and continuously improve Getnet Europe’s physical and e-commerce integration documentation, working closely with the Single Entry Point team to enhance APIs, SDKs and the overall integration experience.

- Manage the product relationship with alternative payment methods across physical and online channels, including Bizum, MBWay, iDEAL, Alipay, WeChat and PayPal.

- Guide merchants, partners and integrators throughout the technical integration journey, from initial solution assessment through APIs, SDKs, App2App or other mechanisms to successful production launch.

- Translate customer and partner needs into viable product capabilities, configurations and improvements, connecting business requirements with internal Product and Technology teams.

- Assess customer architectures, use cases and integration flows to recommend the most appropriate Getnet solution while identifying dependencies, constraints and implementation risks.

- Drive product evolution by identifying recurring implementation gaps, friction points and opportunities for automation and simplification across integration, activation, operation, support and billing.

- Analyse market trends and payment ecosystem developments to identify opportunities to introduce or evolve alternative payment methods and adapt existing solutions to different business models.

- Support commercial conversations with customers by translating business needs into clear technical-functional proposals, presenting new capabilities and gathering feedback to inform future product development.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We are in search of a Product Manager to join our team in Madrid, with the following qualifications and background:

Professional Experience

- 5+ years of relevant experience in the payments industry, with exposure to payment implementation, integration or solution definition. (Required)

- Experience supporting or managing integrations of payment products or platforms, with direct interaction with customers, partners or integrators. (Required)

- Experience in acquiring, PSPs, payment fintechs, merchant/acquiring banking, payment technology providers or POS / Android POS / SoftPOS integration environments. (Preferred)

Education

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications Engineering, Industrial Engineering or another related technical field. (Required)

- Higher vocational qualification or other academic background combined with relevant experience in technology, integrations and payments. (Preferred)

Languages

- English at a high professional level, with the ability to work in an international environment and understand technical documentation. (Required)

- Spanish at a high professional level. (Required)

- Additional languages. (Preferred)

Hard Skills

- Strong understanding of core payment processes, including acquiring, issuing, PSP models, PSD2, authorization, clearing and settlement. (Required)

- Knowledge of EMV, contactless payments, tokenization and payment security concepts. (Required)

- Knowledge of physical payment acceptance technologies, including Android POS, SoftPOS and mPOS. (Required)

- Ability to understand and analyse technical documentation, system architectures and integration flows. (Required)

- Knowledge of integrations through APIs, SDKs and App2App, including REST APIs, request/response concepts, webhooks, JSON payloads and API/SDK documentation. (Required)

- Ability to interpret code examples and discuss technical alternatives effectively with customers, integrators and Technology teams without being required to develop the integrations directly. (Required)

- Experience working with Jira and documentation or work-management tools. (Required)

- Knowledge of omnichannel payments, wallets and alternative payment methods. (Preferred)

- Knowledge of Network Tokenization and emerging technologies within the payments ecosystem. (Preferred)

- Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, Python, Go, Ruby or similar languages. (Preferred)
