The opportunity

We’re looking for a Senior Supervisor – Relining who really knows this space.
This isn't a general civil supervisor position. You'll be bringing deep relining and maintenance hole experience to the table, taking ownership of works from planning and mobilisation through to field delivery, quality and completion.
You'll lead crews and subcontractors, own the two-week lookahead and be the person the team relies on when a technically challenging job needs practical thinking.
You know what can go wrong before it does. You understand the importance of preparation. And you're not afraid to make the call when something onsite doesn't look right.
If you've spent years building your expertise in trenchless rehabilitation and are ready to put that experience to work in a senior role, we'd like to hear from you.
What you’ll do
- Lead relining and maintenance hole rehabilitation works from setup through to completion
- Coordinate crews, subcontractors, plant, equipment and materials
- Own the two-week lookahead and stay ahead of potential delays
- Lead daily pre-starts and keep crews aligned on the plan
- Manage SWMS, risk controls and safe execution of site activities
- Support ITPs, ITRs, commissioning plans and field quality inspections
- Work closely with the Superintendent and Project Engineers to resolve site and design issues
- Keep site documentation, reporting and project records accurate and on time
- Look for smarter ways to deliver without compromising safety or quality
What we offer
- A senior role where your specialist relining experience will genuinely be valued
- Complex and varied rehabilitation works across water and wastewater infrastructure
- The autonomy to take ownership of your projects and make practical decisions onsite
- Suite of Downer benefits, including health and wellness initiatives
- Long-term career opportunities within a major infrastructure business
What we’re looking for
- 10+ years' relevant supervisory experience within water and wastewater
- Strong hands-on knowledge across multiple relining methodologies
- Experience across Dead-End, Spiral, Fold & Form, Thermo-form, UV, Water Inversion and Steam Curing
- Knowledge of mainline patching, grout injection and maintenance hole rehabilitation
- Experience managing works from approximately 100mm through to 1500mm
- Strong background in subcontractor management, construction planning and site delivery
- Sound understanding of field quality, safety and environmental requirements
- Frontline Management qualification or equivalent
- Someone who knows their craft, backs their people and takes pride in leaving a quality job behind
