Forbes Bros. Group of Companies delivers transmission, distribution, substation, and related power infrastructure projects across Canada and the United States.
Our work spans field construction, project delivery, operations, and corporate support in an environment where safety, execution, and reliability matter.
The Opportunity
Help connect field execution with the documentation, quality records, and project information that keep construction moving.
FB Timberline is hiring a Project Coordinator for a permanent, full-time role supporting its Georgia Power work, with initial training on the R-Project in Stapleton, Nebraska. You’ll manage construction documentation, track field progress, support quality activities, and work directly with crews and project leaders to resolve coordination issues.
Candidates must be willing to attend the Nebraska assignment on a three-weeks-on, one-week-off rotation and subsequently work on site in Georgia. The Georgia worksite and transition date have not yet been finalized.
This is a mid-level opportunity for someone with construction coordination experience who wants hands-on involvement in field execution and continued development in project controls and construction management.
What You’ll Do
-
Manage project documentation: Independently coordinate requests for information, submittals, non-conformance reports, and material approvals. Maintain tracking systems and follow outstanding items through to closure.
-
Support field execution: Keep crews and site leaders informed of current drawings, design updates, and documentation requirements. Participate in field meetings, client discussions, and site walkdowns.
-
Support quality activities: Help prepare Inspection and Test Plans, quality binders, and field forms. Check completed work against drawings and specifications and escalate deviations or documentation gaps.
-
Track progress and materials: Record installed quantities, field progress, and material usage. Monitor procurement schedules and deliveries to support construction planning.
-
Capture changes and project information: Document scope changes and provide accurate field information for cost and schedule reporting.
-
Maintain safety records: Capture and organize field-level risk assessments, permits, and audit records. Participate in toolbox talks, hazard reviews, and improvement discussions.
-
Support team coordination: Help crews maintain documentation readiness, coordinate handoffs between teams, and mentor less experienced coordinators in document management, quality support, and site reporting.
What You’ll Bring
-
Three to five years of coordination or site-based support experience in utility, infrastructure, or industrial construction.
-
A diploma or degree in construction, engineering technology, or a related operational field.
-
Proficiency in construction document workflows, quality assurance systems, and field reporting.
-
Strong Excel skills and experience with project platforms such as Procore, Viewpoint, SharePoint, or SAP.
-
Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively with field teams, clients, and office staff.
-
The ability to manage coordination responsibilities independently while keeping project teams informed.
-
A valid Class D driver’s license and the ability to meet company driver qualification requirements.
-
Willingness to travel and work at active construction sites.
