Finance - Shaping Wiltshire's Future

Do you enjoy a varied workload and have an enquiring mind?

As an Insurance Information Coordinator, you will assist in the administration and processing of public liability claims and offer admin support to the Insurance Officers.

We are looking for someone with strong administration skills who can learn quickly, use their initiative and exercise sound judgement when a query does not fit the usual process.

About the role

The Insurance Team sits within the Corporate Finance and Procurement Department and is responsible for managing the council’s insurance policies and claims.

The team is very experienced and skilled in insurance, able to co-ordinate a very busy workload; respond to claimants with care and professionalism; and provide advice valued across the council’s services.

As an Insurance Information Co-ordinator, you will assist with the creation and processing of Council insurance claims.

About You

You will be organised, accurate and able to manage competing tasks. You will be confident investigating queries, using your judgement and deciding the appropriate next step when the answer is not immediately obvious.

Previous administrative and/or data input experience is preferred for this role, and prior customer service skills are desirable.

Good IT skills and the ability to learn new systems are essential. You should be comfortable taking ownership of queries and finding solutions rather than relying solely on step-by-step instructions.
