Consultant
Red Hat · Puteaux, France · remote
Job Summary
The Red Hat Consulting team is looking for an Application Development & AI Consultant to join our French team. This role is designed for a technical expert who bridges the gap between cloud-native software development and Artificial Intelligence. As a Consultant, you will act as a Technical Advisor on-site, helping our customers move from AI experimentation to production. You will not be expected to train new LLMs, but rather to build the connections between data science models and business applications. You will specialize in implementing automated container platforms, deployment pipelines, and AI-powered applications using Red Hat OpenShift and Red Hat OpenShift AI (RHOAI).
What you will do:
- Develop the logic and code (Python, Java/Quarkus) required to integrate AI models into enterprise applications.
- Design and build Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines. This includes document ingestion, chunking strategies, and integration with vector databases (e.g., Milvus, pgvector).
- Implement automated pipelines for model serving and monitoring. You will help customers use RHOAI components such as Data Science Pipelines and Model Serving (vLLM, KServe) to expose models via scalable APIs.
- Act as a mentor for customer developers and data scientists, helping them use RHOAI Workbenches (Jupyter, VS Code) effectively and adopt GitOps for their AI projects.
- Exercise good judgment in selecting the right methods to solve technical issues, ensuring AI solutions are practical, scalable, and secure.
- Promote the adoption of automation techniques (Ansible) and DevOps processes to improve the lifecycle of both infrastructure and AI-enabled applications.
What you will bring:
- 3-4 years of experience in application development (strong proficiency in Python is essential; Java/Quarkus is a plus).
- Advanced knowledge of Red Hat OpenShift or underlying components like Kubernetes and Podman/Docker.
- A solid understanding of the AI lifecycle and modern concepts like LLMs, Embeddings, Prompt Engineering, and Vector Search.
- Experience with IT automation using Ansible and GitOps workflows (e.g., ArgoCD, Helm).
- A passion for open source and the ability to quickly master new AI frameworks and Red Hat technologies.
- Fluent in both French and English, with the ability to document technical architectures clearly.
Skills that will be considered a plus:
- Experience with AI orchestration frameworks like LangChain or LangGraph.
- Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) or OpenShift certifications.
- Working experience with Agile methodologies and MLOps principles.
