About the Role
For this job, we are currently only hiring candidates based in the New York City Metropolitan area, or who are willing to relocate.
Ontra is seeking a VP, Marketing, reporting to our Chief Revenue Officer, to oversee our Marketing team.
We're looking for someone excited to develop and lead a global marketing function that drives rapid, profitable growth, unite demand generation, product marketing, content, brand, events, and communications under a single data-driven operating plan, and establish Ontra as the premier name in AI-native services for private markets.
If you're a results-driven leader who owns the number, pairs strategic vision with strong execution, builds high-performing teams across geographies, and influences cross-functional partners through collaboration and curiosity, we'd love to get to know you.
What You'll Do
- Lead a World-Class Marketing Organization: Assess, shape, and lead a team of 12 across multiple sub-functions, recruiting and developing top-tier marketers who deliver against pipeline and NRR targets.
- Own the Growth Number: Set annual targets for marketing-sourced pipeline and revenue, define supporting funnel metrics and OKRs, and partner with GTM Ops on performance dashboards that keep the team accountable.
- Power a Global Demand Engine: Design and run a segmented demand generation strategy across NAMER and EMEA, leaning into ABM, lifecycle marketing, and hosted events with an agile test, learn, and scale cadence.
- Define Ontra's Story: Lead positioning, messaging, and content strategy, strengthening Ontra's brand as the leader in AI-native services for private markets.
- Align Across the Go-To-Market Team: Build strong partnerships with Sales, Customer Experience, Product, Partnerships, and GTM Operations to optimize down-funnel performance from MQL to close.
What You'll Bring
- Experience: 12+ years in B2B marketing, including 5+ years leading multi-disciplinary marketing teams of a comparable size and 3+ years marketing services solutions to enterprise buyers.
- Industry and Domain Depth: Experience in legal tech, private equity, or private markets, ideally marketing AI-native services
- Full-Funnel Leadership: Proven ownership of a complete marketing remit spanning brand and communications, positioning, demand generation, product marketing, and content, with a track record of setting and hitting marketing-sourced pipeline and revenue targets.
- Enterprise and Regulated Market Expertise: Experience running account-based, multi-touch campaigns for C-suite personas and enterprise buying committees in highly regulated industries.
- Global Operating Experience: Experience leading a marketing function across NAMER and EMEA, paired with an experimentation mindset that prioritizes tests and ships them quickly.
